Drug Testing
In order to both combat and prevent workplace alcohol impairment, Action Services offers companies the ability to alcohol test their employees. Alcohol and drug testing can be done for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-incident cases. In some cases alcohol testing is a government issued (ie. D.O.T. regulated businesses) mandatory practise, and in other industries it is a standard safety precaution. Action is a certified Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) collection site and a Certified Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) collection site.
Breath Alcohol Testing
Breath alcohol tests measure the level of alcohol in a donor's system through an electronic monitor that measures alcohol molecules released in the carbon dioxide of a person's breath. This reading calculates their Breath/Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). Within minutes of drinking alcohol, your blood alcohol concentration starts to rise. Unlike food, alcohol is absorbed directly through the walls of the stomach, goes into the bloodstream, and travels throughout your body and to your brain. This allows blood alcohol levels to increase quickly. That is why this type of testing is a good gauge of current alcohol impairment.
Urine Drug Testing
We offer two options for urine drug testing. The first is an express test. The results of an express drug test are instant. It is also important to note that the results of an express test are qualitative, meaning that the results are either a pass or fail, the level of drug in the body is not determined.
The second option is to do a lab based urine drug test. This can be done in addition to the express test, or on its own. This type of testing provides a quantitative result, meaning that the levels of drugs in the body can be determined. Lab results are generally available within 2-5 business days.
